Purpose of This Resource
Illinois law provides routes to many government records, but the correct source is not always clear once a person has left a facility. Edwards County adds a special complication because it has one temporary holding cell and no conventional county jail. The Edwards County Sheriff can document local processing, release, and transport. White County Jail may hold the contracted confinement and physical-departure record. The Edwards Circuit Court supplies orders and dispositions that explain the legal basis for custody changes.
For a state-prison case, the Illinois Department of Corrections operates an offender search that can display custody status, parole status, and release or discharge date fields. Judicial probation is a separate system. Federal prison releases belong in the Bureau of Prisons locator, while immigration custody uses a different federal route. We collect these release-record sources, search methods, supervision paths, and request steps in one Edwards-focused reference.

Limits of Our Role
Edwards County Released Inmates is privately operated. It has no connection with the Edwards or White County sheriffs, either jail operation, the Illinois Department of Corrections, the courts, or any local, state, or federal government agency.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or place funds into an account for someone else.
- We do not provide legal advice or decide what a court order means for a specific person.
- We cannot promise that an address, telephone number, fee, office hour, or database entry has not changed.
Only the sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or other record-owning agency can confirm current custody, charges, and release. This site points to relevant public sources but cannot issue an official confirmation.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by independent providers. Those companies control their own results, terms, and prices. If a search tool leads to a paid registration or purchase, Edwards County Released Inmates may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public reference material available without charge. We do not set partner prices and cannot alter, guarantee, or correct a third-party result.
